Ms. Rose

I always believe people's lives are far more interesting then the average piece of fiction. Thank you for sharing the adventures of Mr. Fortune and the great tea adventure with us. I enjoyed the book so much that my book club is reading your book for discussion in March. What is your thought since you researched the man extensivley.... Did Fortune return to England an Opium addict? Did his wife destroy her husband's papers folllowing his death to protect is good reputation or perhaps business intrests? I await your thoughts. Thanks Bev Gay

Sarah,
Been searching you web site for a direct email address without luck. Have some exciting opportunities for you here in Asia regarding your novel. Please drop me a line so I can get in touch directly. Alternatively, you can give me a call on +66818678566 ( Bangkok time ).
Need some direction on film rights, etc as there is an innovative model involving funding and production that may well suit you either as a novelist or an ongoing participant in the project.
Either way, I hope you can find the time to discuss further.
Congratulations on your success and hope 2013 can be a prosperous year for us both.
Best,
Henri Young

Hi Sarah,
I have just bought and read the book which I found excellent. I am researching my own Scottish gardening roots in connection with the Falconer brothers Hugh and Alexander and wonder whether you can remember in which of the sources you quote in "All the Tea.." you found the material about Hugh, since I would like to consult the original.
Many thanks for a wonderful book which has been so useful to me.
Next stop Calcutta!

Such a pleasure to hear from you! (And also surprising to get an email from Robert Fortune...I spent so long in such close quarters with your x4 or x5 great uncle)

Am glad you enjoyed the story. Thanks for reaching out.

Warmest,

Sarah

Sarah, I discovered your website quite by chance. I had googled myself to track the reporting of one of my recent cases. I was intrigued by the entry - Robert Fortune in pictures. In addition to the usual pictures of my great great x4 or x5 uncle, the botanist, looking dour and severe, I was alarmed to see one of me, and surprised to see one of a very attractive young woman.
I heard your book when it was serialised on the radio, and I enjoyed it very much. It is an interesting story which deserved to be better known. I have some of the original editions of RF's travels, very well written for a man who left school so young. I hope your book did well; I was amused to see you plugging it in an item about skype. Best wishes, Robert Fortune
